The Colorado Childcare Tax Credit is Back

Under this program, donations made to PIH’s Child Enrichment Center qualify for a CO State tax credit equal to 50% of the donation amount.  The State is phasing this tax credit back in over several years, so credit for 2013 must be taken over a two-year period (see below).  Any size donation is eligible for this credit.  As always, we encourage you to consult your tax advisor regarding your individual situation.  For donations made in 2013,  ½ of the credit may be taken on your 2013 taxes, and ½ will be applied towards your 2014 taxes.  So, for 2013 and 2014 you would receive a credit equal to 25% of your 2013 donation each year.

Note:  If you made tax credit donations in 2012 you may be able to use a portion of those credits in 2013 as well.  Also, unused credits from one year can be rolled forward to future years.   Please consult your tax advisor for details.

To make a Child Care Tax Credit Donation, just send your check to Partners in Housing at 455 Gold Pass Heights, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 and be sure to write “Child Enrichment Center” on the memo line!  We’ll send you the Child Care Tax Credit Form for your records along with your thank you letter.

Remember PIH in your will or estate plan, and leave a lasting legacy for homeless families!  Naming Partners In Housing as a beneficiary is simple and has lasting effect.

Legacy giving does not take great wealth. Naming PIH as a beneficiary of a will or trust is a simple way to make a gift that otherwise may not have seemed possible. By designating PIH, you can give the gift of a lifetime!

We are honored by the foresight and generosity of donors who make the gift of their lifetime by naming PIH in their will, trust or retirement plan. For more information please contact Donnis or call (719) 325-5830.
