With this fund, we will provide families with hygiene items on their journey to self-sufficiency! Hygiene items are costly essentials, and each individual has specific needs for their hygiene routine, whether this is a particular shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, or body wash. Some individuals are allergic to certain ingredients, narrowing the scope of products available to them. We will also provide cleaning supplies to keep a healthy home!

How will the fund work? Caseworkers identify the specific needs of families during weekly meetings, and donated cause bucket funds will allow Partners in Housing staff to purchase these products upon request.

Examples of items we will provide: Hygiene products include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving materials, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, face wash, feminine hygiene products, cleaning products for healthy environments, and more. Cleaning products include shout stain remover spray, oxyclean powder, scrub brushes, magic erasers, bleach, and pet stain cleaner.

Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) refer to the kinds of activities and experiences that enhance a child’s life and combat Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). These experiences then  result in successful mental and physical health outcomes. While their parents are working to rebuild their lives during our one-year transitional housing program, you can help children in need of this additional support.

Examples of items we will provide: Movie tickets, sports game tickets, art classes, music lessons, Space Foundation Discovery Center admission, Sky Zone trampoline park tickets, and more!

The Cleaning Supply Fund will support our “Welcome Baskets” that are provided to families when they enter the Self-Sufficiency Program, along with cleaning supplies as needed during their time with us. By providing this gift, families have a greater chance to save and meet their financial goals during their year-long stay.
