A rain delay could not keep the fun away at the “Celebrating Our Partners” Picnic! Kids, Partners, Volunteers, Donors and Staff gathered at the beautiful Myron Stratton Home grounds on July 25th. Thanks to our sponsors, OLIVE REAL ESTATE GROUP and INSURANCE TECHNOLOGIES for making the event possible. The food was great, thanks to Common Cause Catering! The Volunteer Band lead by Jim Easton played and people danced. Children waited patiently to have works of art painted on their faces – an anonymously donated service. ANB Bank Volunteers led kids in games while parents mingled.
We heard what Partners in Housing means for the lives of families working toward a better future. Attending the picnic were 275 people who have been touched by our mission to provide the hope and opportunity for self-sufficiency to homeless families. New and old sponsors stepped forward to fill gift bags for each Partner Family. There were Sky Sox tickets, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo passes , Skate City passes, Boys and Girls Club daycare, YMCA passes, Starbucks cards, free Einstein Bros bagels, Christmas unlimited toys and surprises – all donated. In-kind donations totaled $32,644.75 just for the Gift Bags!
